Best of the Best 8-Ball at the Golden Cue 1st Place: Jason Welsh 2nd Place: Vince Temple 3rd Place: Frank Rich
Best of the Best 9-Ball at the Golden Cue
1st Place: Joe Sinicropi 2nd Place: Frank Rich 3rd Place: Glen Shafir 4th Place: Chris Whalen
Recap: Both events had it's share of nail bitters, lead changes, miscues, and most of all lots of laughs. You are all probably wondering how your League Operator faired against the winners. In 8-Ball, I barely escaped the exceptional shot making of young player Jason Welsh as the match went to the hill. I prevailed in the end but had no fingernails left...lol. So, the side pot for Sundays match was $105 and I found myself up against Joe Sinicropi who calmly ran 9 ball rack after 9 ball rack to win the side pot 65 to 45.
Thank you for all who attended, we will have a best of the best tournament this Summer for those players who finish top 12 in win percentage this Spring. Good Luck to all!
Everyone says they know how to keep score...."oh it's easy", they say! But in reality many teams are not keeping score correctly. I know you are out to have a good time and play pool and the last thing you want to think about is keeping score. However, keeping score can be fun too! How you say? Keeping score correctly will increase your teams chances of winning and help keep it fair for everyone else in the league. Fair is fun...right?
So, with that said, please take 15 minutes and watch the How to Keep Score video (below) and pass on what you learn to the rest of your team.
Make League Play More Fun! Learn About Defensive Shots! When you "call" and mark Defensive Shots on yourself and your team, no one will accuse you of sandbagging!
