Qualified Teams Guidelines
The following are guide lines qualified teams must adhere to remain qualified.
Of course, everyone on your roster must remain a current APA member.
Your team must maintain active team status.
Every eligible team MUST play in the spring session to retain eligibility.
If your team qualified in the summer you must be an active team in both fall and spring.
Your spring roster is your Higher Level Tournament Roster. Your actual spring roster will be the roster you must play with when you enter the LTC, this team MUST have at least 4 original members from the qualifying team. Once the 4th week of the spring session passes, all rosters will be closed. No one may be dropped or added. All non-qualified teams have until the 6th week.
Everyone must have played at least 4 times during the spring session AND have a minimum of 10 scores since joining the league. Adding NEW to the APA players to the spring session. You can not add a “New To The APA”, players added must have 20 scores since joining the APA. Less than 20 scores must be approved by the league operator.
You skill level in the LTC will be highest session-ending handicap since the team qualified, including summer, fall and right through the spring session.
Individual skill levels may be raised by standard updating, by tournament committee judgments or by the APA prior to and during all levels of Higher-Level Tournament play.
Teams must retain four original members from the roster they qualified with to remain qualified.
Players will play in the LTC with the highest session-ending skill level since the team qualified.
Teams that qualify in the Summer session must finish in the top half of their division in the subsequent Fall and Spring Sessions of the current league year. Fall Session teams that qualify for the LTC must finish in the top half of their division in the Spring Session. Teams that DO NOT are subject to HEAVY scrutiny of their handicaps by your League Operator and St. Louis’ handicap review committee, and/or loss of eligibility.
If you have ANY questions, please call our office. DO NOT WAIT to the end of the session to ask, it may be too late. It is up to you to know the rules pertaining to qualified teams. All of this information is in the team manual.
