DO NOT START A NEW THREAD TO REVIVE A LOCKED POST
Do not start a new thread to continue the discussion from a previously locked thread.
We do not like to lock threads or edit posts, but when it is done it is done for a reason.
If you have a question about why a topic was locked please contact the webmaster or call the league office.
DO NOT REVIVE THE TOPIC IN A NEW THREAD!
NO JUNK POSTING (The forum is not a chat room)
Posting simply to post, and/or increase your post count will not be tolerated.
Do not post a single smiley or other icon.
Do not post to ask a question that is specific to you alone. Email us those.
Give Your Post A Descriptive Title
When you create a new topic make sure your title accurately reflects the post. Members glancing through the topics need to know what your post is about before they click on the title to read it.
Stay on Topic
Please try not to wander off topic in your replies. Feel free to start a different thread if you have other thoughts that you would like to share.
No Personal Attacks
Members who personally attack other members through their posts or PM's will be removed from the system and lose the ability to check their stats and schedules on this site.
This forum is not to be used to carry over problems with other members from league night. The site has a sportsmanship violations form that is to be used as an "Official" complaint form. If you continue to have problems with specific members we have a Persitant Offender form where you can detail why a member should be removed form the APA altogether. You may also call the office if you prefer to speak with someone directly.
Do not attack other members because they disagree with you in a post. Keep the tone civil and think before you post. We encourage all members to participate in the forum without fear of being attacked.
Do Not Post Your Personal Stats
Your stats are meant for your eyes only. We've set up this site so that only you can view that information.
When looking for a team we ask that you do not post your stat information. If you chose to discuss that information with your new teammates that is your choice, but it can not be posted.
Do Not Post Tavern Incentives
Many Taverns offer to pay their teams dues, buy them a team round, offer "free" practice, open the table on league nights, etc.
If your tavern does that, that's great, please be sure and thank them. However we ask that you do not post that information here. Remember that they are under no obligation to do so.
We appreciate every Tavern's participation as an APA Hosting Location, and do not wish to create competition on this site between Taverns. When recruiting players email or PM potential team members the details. Don't put it in the post.
No Skill Level or Other League Complaints
We welcome your input on how to improve the league, and encourage you to participate in the forum.
However, complaints about the APA Equalizer handicap system, complaints about skill levels, and complaints about scorekeeping or other posts along those lines will be removed.
The league office welcomes your input on anything you may be concerned about, but if it fits into the above criteria, this is not the place for it. We have online forms for Skill Level evaluation. If you have a problem with the league handicapping system and do not wish to use the online forms or have a team or member specific problem, please call the office directly to discuss it. Do not air it here.
Posts that violate these rules will be removed and repeat offenders run the risk of losing their ability to view their stats and schedules on this site.
No Email Addresses In Posts
DO NOT post your email addresses in the forum. Posts containing email addresses will be edited or removed entirely.
Members may contact you by clicking on your username beside your post. Be sure you have checked the option to allow members to email you in your Profile.
If you prefer we have also added a Private message system for members to exchange personal messages with one another. Use the Forum's built in tools to contact each other
We've gone to great lengths to protect your personal information. If you are not a member of this forum all you can do is read posts. Non-members can not click your username to email you. Spam is widespread, don't give them information we've worked to protect for you.
No Crossposting (Posting same info in 2 or more places)
DO NOT post the same reply in multiple categories. (ie do not post that your team needs players in the 'Team Seaking Players' and then again in the 'Players Seaking Teams topics'.
This type of posting clutters the forum and causes members to have a difficult time locating information.
No Phone Numbers In Posts
This is a public forum, and anyone can read the posts here. Do not post your telephone number unless you like crank phone calls.
The same rule that applies to posting your email address goes for your phone number. The forum has a Private message system set up for members to exchange personal messages. Use the built in forum tools.
Post Your message In The Correct Topic
Make sure you are posting your topic in the correct category before you submit it. Keeping the forum topics organized helps members find your post and join the fray.
Search the Website FAQ
Search the Frequently Asked Questions before posting in the forum, or emailing a member of the office or webstaff.
Often if your question has come up before we have posted it there. If not please feel free to contact us.
Search the Forum for help
When you need help search the forum posts first. Chances are someone has experienced the same problems you are sometime in the past. Look through the posts before emailing someone for help.
If you are unable to find an answer to your problem feel free to either post a new topic or contact us through email or on the phone.
Provide Detailed Information In Your Requests For Help
Weather you are posting in the forum for help or sending an Email or PM to another user please be sure to include detailed information. It will make it easier to find out what problems you are having and how best to solve them.
